Continuing my exploration of the local trails, I decided to attempt Climachx today and did two circuits. The first time round I had intended to take it easy, and did so, but still found it pretty hard work as there seemed to be quite a bit of climbing involved. I think it must have been the slowest circuit ever as it took my 1hr 14min. I was just trying to decide whether or not to put myself through itn again when a couple of other riders turned up so I decided to have another go.

I set off with one guy who was over from Belguim to experience the mountain biking in Wales. He looked pretty serious so I told him to go on ahead and probably couldn't have kept up with him anyway. A couple of other people set off just behind me and I was expecting them to pass me at some point.

This time around I put a little more effort in and it felt much shorter, although it still took an hour to complete. The guys behind me didn't catch me up and I actually caught and overtook the guy from Belguim on the descent so I was pretty pleased with that.

Quite a hard day though and I never really got into a rhythm on this trail.
